I always loved those old cheesy movies, like attack of the 50ft woman or plan 9 from outer space. And the posters always look great too :)

In case you can't tell, I was watching Alias when I was making this, there's 3 things in there about it.

I like the look on how you've captured the feel of the old cheesy movies.

Great work David! How did you get the torn-tattered look to the poster? That’s exactly what i had in mind for certain illustrations in my book... three guesses what it is about?

haha dinosaur boy
I spent a while looking for tattered tutorials or folding corners, but all I could find was that page curl. So I started playing with the filters. It gets a bit complicated and I'm sure there is probably an easier way to do it.

I drew a thick line across the corner that was the same colour as the background. Applied the glass filter with high distortion and the canvas texture. I can't really remember the specifics, but I ended up colouring some stuff in and playing with the settings. But yeah thats the basics of it.

How's the macbook going? I really want to get one. I'm sick of working on PCs at home and Macs at TAFE.
